At Launder Farm we believe one of the biggest gifts you can give in life is an experience. Set in the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside, Launder Farm provides a variety of farming, equine and outdoor courses and workshops for all ages and walks of life.
The most popular educational courses are those that prepare students for a career in a particular sector or profession. We believe that it is important that students embark on their further education and careers choices with some practical skills and theoretical knowledge behind them. Launder Farm provides educational courses for students aspiring to apply for Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Equine Science, Veterinary Nursing and Animal Sciences.
Working closely the Welsh Government and schools across the United Kingdom Launder Farm spends a large proportion of time working at Widening Participation and outreach events to encourage students from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds pursue their career ambitions. To give back to the local community Launder Farm will continue to provide funding and one-one support for aspiring students in Wales from disadvantaged backgrounds through its partnership with the Seren Network.

“Becky and Co.'s Pre-Vet experience with Launder Farm is excellent in every respect. Not only did participants get a realistic understanding of working life on farms (from both vet and farmers' perspectives), but also watched and participated in practical aspects of husbandry and health-checking various farm species in two different types of farm. The style of teaching was also incredibly fun; students felt comfortable asking questions, and staff were very helpful in answering our questions about veterinary admissions processes in general. Overall, a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend to anyone considering the veterinary profession (or even just thinking about going into farming!).”
